A1 Florisel – Right on the Beach!

Estuvimos 8 noches. Llegamos en el taxi que ofrecen por 35$. Todo correcto. Ana nos esperaba a pesar que eran las 22h. El piso es como en las fotos. Esta muy cerca de la zona de restaurantes, bares, super, farmacia, casa de cambio etc... no tienes que coger taxi para nada. Bernardo, el chico que está en la playa le da soporte, también muy amable. Ana muy atenta y amable nos resolvía cualquier duda y petición que tuviéramos de manera rápida y eficiente. Puntos positivos: - Cercanía a la playa y al centro - Atención de Ana - Fotos del piso fiables - Aire acondicionado Puntos a mejorar: - Están justo al lado de un edificio "ocupado" por vendedores ambulantes, aunque no tuvimos ningún problema ni nos molestaron, pero de entrada, causa impresión. No parece peligroso. Nos avisaron cuando llegamos allí por primera vez, no obstante, creo que sería bueno que se avisara antes. - Lo compramos con mucha antelación y luego vimos que el precio descendió conforme se acercaban las fechas. Se lo comentamos y nos dijeron que los precios oscilaban. Mi recomendación, esperar a que se acerquen las fechas para comprarlo. Hay mucha oferta en la zona.

We really loved staying over here! Ana helped us out with everything and has been a very hard working, warm and welcoming host. Apartment was clean, quiet and fully equiped, nice private beach and lovely restaurants around the corner. Bavaro area was superb to stay over, I would recommend everyone staying over in this magical place! Thanks Hana and Ana for everything !

Perfect stay with everything provided, Ana took really good care of us . Clean, close to the beach and nest shops. So good we decided to stay longer!

We had an amazing time here in the Dominican! Hana's place was quiet, comfortable, and an amazing price. Hana and her staff communicated perfectly, arranged for a taxi to pick us up to and from the airport, and helped us arrange a day trip to Saona Island. I highly recommend asking the staff to help arrange your travel to and from the airport and to help you arrange an excursion. They have been in the area for years and know which services are legitimate. The property: comfortable and quiet. They provide a water cooler with safe drinking water which was very helpful. The Wifi worked fine and we only used the air conditioning at night. Note that using a lot of electricity does cost extra because it's expensive in Bavaro, but we thought it was well worth it. We only spent $15 on electricity during our trip. Super quick walk to the beach and to a small market and restaurants. We felt very safe and there are security guards in and outside of the gate. The beach: BEAUTIFUL! We had amazing weather. The staff provides beach chairs which are very convenient. I will note that there is a lot of seaweed in the water so if you want to swim extensively, I would walk down the beach to find a spot with less seaweed. Wasn't a huge deal, but figured I would point it out. There are a lot of people who will ask you if you want to buy water sports, hair braiding, etc. They aren't very pushy - a simple "no thanks" will move them along if you aren't interested. The neighborhood: Very quiet, has security guards like I mentioned above, and is a quick walk to restaurants. Joy's IS A MUST! We ate there every day. They serve amazing breakfast, burgers, and popsicles of all flavors. The sweetest staff with amazing food and prices. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to come back!

Location, location, location...

Lovely place to stay. Exactly as it was described on the website. Close to the shops. Very clean. Excellent customer service Happy to stay there again.

My husband and I chose to stay here for our honeymoon and it was a wonderful choice! Ana was an incredible host who helped us set up transportation to and from the airport, connect with tourist companies to travel around the country, and was just an all around wonderful host. The beach is a 30 second walk and is perfect. Warm water and beautiful sand! The apartment was clean and cute. Just as described! We stayed for about a week and never ran out of places to eat at! Places take American dollars or Pesos or Visa Credit Cards. We loves Joy's breakfast and popsicles and Citrus was delicious for a fancier meal. You'll have to walk a few blocks to most restaurants but it's not long and very worth it! The grocery store (BAM or other small places) aren't the best, and be prepared for high prices. Eating out proved to be about the same cost as making a meal (which isn't upsetting to me!) We never felt unsafe or worried about the area because it is mainly tourists. Overall, we would suggest this to everyone!

This place is just as described! Extremely close to the beach, with private umbrellas and chairs. It's no more than a 10 minute walk to everything you can need. There are plenty of delicious restaurants close by. D'Angelo's Italian was probably our favorite - great pizza! And Balicana was also delicious Asian cuisine and beach front! Highly recommend Nino's liquor. Be prepared to tell people no. A lot of locals will ask if you want a taxi or if you want your hair braided or to go parasailing, etc. Be firm and say no, sometimes they were very persistent. Everywhere took $RD and US dollars, but Ana recommended using $RD where they accepted that so they didn't try to multiply incorrectly and make you pay more than you were supposed to. Ana was incredibly helpful and gave us a tour of the area and showed us great places to eat, get groceries, and exchange money. You pay for the electricity at the end of the trip, and so we were very careful to not use it very much. We ended up paying $4 at the end of 4 days, so we wished we kept the air conditioning on more often since it ended up being so cheap. Overall, a great trip!

Great location! Only a few steps away from a nice lively beach, and several restaurants within a short walking distance. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Hana is a fantastic host, very helpful and honest!
