C101 Florisel – Stone throw from the Beach

Our stay was in the one bedroom condo was exactly what we needed——relaxation, relaxation. We were only a few steps from the beach and a beach restaurant. Within a short walk local restaurants were available for breakfast through dinner. We rented a car at the airport at arrival . The drive to Miches was wonderful. We explored side roads along the way and felt safe. It takes a day or so to get accustomed to driving amongst the scooters and the DR driving temperament. Strongly advise a catamaran snorkeling experience. Don’t have to snorkel if you’re not inclined. Just enjoy being on the water. Eat local, drink local and soak up the sun and water.

Florisel is a beautiful and comfy home away from home! The entire place is very spacious and relaxing, and my boyfriend and I especially loved enjoying a cup of coffee each morning on the patio. The location is right on Bavaro beach, but we preferred to drive a little ways away from the house where the beaches were less populated. Hospitality and communication were excellent as well! All around a wonderful apartment, but I do recommend renting a car so you can experience various beaches around Punta Cana :)

This is a great place, very close to the beach. It is clean, comfortable, and close to local shops and restaurants. Hana and Gricel were both extremely responsive, usually within even 5 minutes. My husband and i arrived separately, me by bus and my husband very early in the am, and they were very accommodating for each of us. The local town struck my husband as looking a little run-down; having spent the prior week in Santo Domingo and other towns, this is how many of even the nicer areas can appear. The locals are very friendly, and we felt safe even walking around at night. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and fun area by the beach. Everything you need is in walking distance and exploring the neighborhoods makes it an awesome experience. Thinking of visiting again in the future.

This place is a great location! The beach is about a 15 second walk away and they supplied nice shade umbrellas and beach chairs as well. You are also a short walk away from restaurants, bars, markets, and gift shops. The location feels very safe and we loved walking around and exploring the neighborhood. It was a great value for our trip and would definitely stay there again!

This is the second time I rented Hana's place. You cant beat the location, it is literally a 25 second walk to the beach and less then a 5 minute walk to town. The beach is bustling with people and a beach bar but also quiet enough to just chill out and read or people watch. The town is fully stocked with great restaurants, markets, a pharmacy and fresh fruit stand-everything you need! The town felt safe, even at night with the presence of police clearly visible. The staff at Florisel is very friendly, especially my amigo Bernardo, who is always there to grab you a beach lounger or a 5 gallon water with a smile on his face. Gricel is very quick to any issue you may have, we had an issue with the water cooler not dispensing cold water and it was switched out promptly for another one. The unit it self was very clean and well maintained, although we did not cook in the unit, I feel like it was well equipped to do so. They also remodeled the bathroom and it looks very nice. My only negative is the beach bar playing loud music at night, but only on the weekends. We were far enough from the bar but we felt the constant thump of the heavy base noise. I sleep through anything so it wasn't that big of a deal for me, especially since I was tired from a full day on the beach but it seemed to bother my wife more. One night the music ended by 9pm and the other night by 1 am. This is not Hana fault but felt like I should mention it. We absolutely love it here and plan on returning for a third consecutive year. Just book it, you wont be sorry.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place! Hana's assistant Gricel was so helpful and communicative. She connected us with a driver to pick us up from the airport and take us back (no need to rent a car if you are staying here). The times I emailed Gricel with a question (once asking for more water--don't drink the tap water!--and once asking for more toilet paper), there was literally a response at our door within minutes. Excellent service. The apartment is clean, adequately furnished, with a simple style perfect for the beach. Our favorite "room" of the apartment was probably the patio/balcony, where we enjoyed most of our meals. The apartment complex is beautiful and quiet, and everyone is friendly. Electricity is expensive here and there is an extra charge if you use a certain amount. We came in February and didn't need the air conditioning. We just used the fans and kept the screens open for the sea breezes. We had no extra electric charge. The beach is just around the corner. We arrived on a Sunday, and it was very loud--there is a restaurant on the beach and they had the DJ cranked all the way up. But it must have been an unusual event, because the rest of our time there, everything was very quiet and peaceful, and we could relax on the beach and read. The town is fine--a bit run-down and noisy, but we bought all the groceries we needed at the markets and our produce from a fruit truck, and we cooked most of our meals in the apartment. The kitchen has all the dishes and pots and pans you need. We went out to eat twice at Wacamole and at Nam Nam. Wacamole was our favorite--delicious tacos, everything is fresh. We did a dual excursion one day with Scape Park, which Gricel recommended. You can book online and get pickup at Whala Bavaro, but make sure to go to the front entrance, which is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment (look on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps). We went to the wrong entrance the first day and had to reschedule our excursion. Scape Park is awesome with a lot of different packages to choose from--we did zipline and beach getaway. We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Thank you, Hana and Gricel!

This is an amazing place which is within walking distance to the beach and nearby coffee shops and restaurants . The host was always very responsive to questions and requests while staying there . Totally recommended

Ein nettes Apartment für 2 Personen mit guter Ausstattung und in gutem Zustand. Strand fußläufig in 1 Min. erreichbar, einige gute Restaurants & Bars mit 1-10 min. Fußweg erreichbar. Strand und Umfeld auch für Kinder gut geeignet. Öffentlicher Pool in der Nähe. Sehr gute Organisation und Zuverlässigkeit insb. beim Transit vom/zum Flughafen.
