C201 Florisel – Lovely Beach Apartment

Gricel is absolutely wonderful and supported us with many tips. She was always there for us and answered very quickly to all our questions. The Appartement is wonderful. We consider ourselves very lucky. It was super Clean, spacious, calm and lovely. Thank you! We can highly recommend this Appartement.

This place is a really good value. Its located within a gated neighborhood (it's unlike gated neighborhoods in the US. its a group of separate apartment complexes and a couple of small restaurants behind one gate) and has direct access to a private section of the beach with palm umbrellas and beach chairs. its less than 10 min walking distance to several groceries stores and restaurants (I recommend Joy popsicle which has fresh fair and, of course, popsicles. it's in the compound a few hundred feet after the main gate). if your not the walking type there are always guys on motorcycles that will give you a ride for a few USD. The area feels very safe and there are lots of other people (tourists and locals) out walking around, even after dark. Some places take credit cards some are cash only the ATM is not walking distance so make sure you bring enough. lots of places take USD and there are cash conversion places nearby. The apartment complex probably has 10 to 12 units and they have a full-time staff of at least 4 people that are there all day. The grounds are well maintained, beautifully landscaped, and there is a small population of playful kitties that live in the areas. Hana never took more than a few minutes to respond and has someone at my door faster than most hotels in the US. Inside there is a full kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom with all the normal utensils and amenities. The apartment was exactly as pictured and it was super clean (they even take the couch cushion covers off to wash them). You get one full cleaning a week from the maid. There is a large water cooler in the kitchen because the local water is unsafe to drink. Refills are only 2USD delivered and arranged by Hana. Overall I would definitely stay again As she mentions in the description, 2USD worth of electricity in is included, you pay for the rest. We stayed 10 days, ran the AC all night, the average daytime temp was 85F, and our electricity bill was 30USD at the end. By my math, electricity is at least 30 cents per KWh. or like 3.5 times what I pay in the US.

Exactly as advertised! The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. The customer service was top notch between both Hana & Gricel. I wish more places offered such gratious hosts!

Our stay at, 201C Apartemento Florisel, couldn't have been better! This is an amazing place to stay, an amazing location. We could not have asked for anything more. Grisel is a great leader of a wonderful staff. They are all friendly, warm and truly work with a servant's heart! Our place was SUPER clean, with all the amenities you could ever need. It was our first trip to the R.D. , so although we requested and received a blow dryer, an iron and an ironing board, we did not need them...LOL. We were literally steps away from our private beach, where the staff always had lounge chairs set up under thatched umbrellas just awaiting our arrival! The staff was always present to serve, but never intrusive. Restaurants and souvenir shopping were readily available at the beach. Restaurants, delis, bakeries, pharmacies and grocery stores are all available within a 5-10 minute walk, through the beautiful, "safe" local neighborhood. We are not the all inclusive resort type, we prefer to immerse ourselves in the culture. We did a couple of excursions (touristy), but fun. Grisel has all the contacts and recommendations you need to do excursions, get taxis, or visit a nice restaurant. This is a winner! We look forward to returning. By the way, Hana and Grisel have multiple apartments in Florisel, I can only imagine they are all excellent!

Excellent location. Kitchen has everything you need. Very close access to the beach. Room cleaning provided if you're there long enough. Lovely patio/porch. Restaurants, grocery stores, and money exchange all walk able. Bar on the beach -yum. Great responses to requests.

Hana's location was excellent. The location is in a gated community with access to the beach steps away. The kitchen is fully functioning, and if anything is missing, a quick message with the request is responded to almost immediately. The beach access leads to a lovely stretch of beach with chairs and towels. There is an outdoor bar next door (on the beach) that is not too noisy. Supermarkets, money exchange, and restaurants are a quick walk away. Would visit again! :)

Beautiful place with quick easy access to the beach. Not the most ideal for swimming but beautiful to lounge by and enjoy the beauty. Gricel was a gracious host and very accommodating to our needs.

The Apartment was a great place to stay at. It’s exactly what they have on the pictures. We would love to go back again and the staff are very nice with great service ❤️

Really nice apartment, very clean and confortable. Just a few steps to the beach and close to the city center.
