The apartment was all so wonderful. The location was very convenient! Near by food markets and restaurants. The beach is practically your backyard!

This was exactly what we were hoping for. At the edge of this small town, behind a couple gated entryways, hides this beautiful, quiet apartment complex filled with lush landscaping, friendly guards and a picture-perfect private beach steps away from your door. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, included. The apartment itself was quaint, spacious, and included all the comforts of home. Air conditioning, warm shower, cool purified drinking water, cable and WiFi. Even coffee to make yourself. Directly next to our private beach... a delicious beach restaurant that was more than happy to be at our service all day long. Breakfast, lunch, dinner (they close at 11pm!), they serve you right at your beach chairs. Directly next to the restaurant, a gift shop market full of admittedly sales-aggressive shop owners. But if you've been to DR before, you know the hustle is something you can expect to encounter everywhere. It's part of the experience. We definitely stopped in for souvenirs which we were able to haggle down to less than half of their original asking price (brush up on your negotiating skills!). Next to that market, up a flight of stairs, I enjoyed a great haircut while overlooking the water in a one-seat barbershop. While lounging on the beach, we were approached by various excursion salespeople. This complex is manned by a guard named Bernardo who works with certain salespeople to get you the best price. Use him as much as possible. He will clue you in on what you should be paying for things like that, cabs, souvenirs, etc. I paid over double for my haircut than I would have had I spoken to Bernardo first. All of the excursions you're researching online right now can be haggled to better prices with salespeople right from this private beach. And all of the water-based ones can be done within minutes of purchase, as the boats are literally anchored just beyond the beach waiting. We partook in the following: driving our own private speedboat, swimming in the natural pool, snorkeling, riding on a banana boat, day trip to rural punta cana for buggy/ATV tour where we visited another beach and a natural spring inside of a cave, all while riding over rocky and muddy terrain past plantations and farms. All of this for $150 total for two people. Not each. Total. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk away in town with foods ranging from sushi to pizza to Mexican to Cuban. Prices are pretty typical for a night out in the states. So think, $40-60 for two people. It's not ideal, but this is a very touristy area so it's all there to cater to you. We were charged about $30 in cash for electricity overages, but that was for 4 days of very careless air conditioning use on our part. The host is very upfront and candid about this. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend getting your Punta Cana fix here. Skip the all-inclusive crap which you overpay for on the upfront costs, and get you something like this. If you want to enjoy the island on your terms, securely and peacefully, this place is the way to go.

Amazing place! Stay here and you won't regret it! Close to the beach and plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. This place was awesome and we will definitely be staying here next time we visit the DR!

We had a great stay at the apartment. It's really close to a white sand beach. It was seaweed time but they cleaned the beach multiple times a day so that was no problem. Good restaurants and small supermarkets are nearby. Definitely recommended.

This place was just as described! Quick walk to the beach, but as in most places we went you have to deal with beach vendors trying to sell you something all day long. We just learned to say No Gracias! Gricel was so helpful and gracious. My daughter and I found Hana's place to suit our needs perfectly. We were able to walk to restaurants and grocery stores, within 10 mins max. Definitely recommend this place.

As always, this is our favorite place to stay when in the DR! Gricel was amazing and super hospitable. Will always book with this host. Thank you again for everything!

This place is great and very clean. Hana and Gricel are both VERY responsive and accommodating. This specific apartment is not exactly on the beach but the beach is located within a 30 second walk. It is a very touristy area so you won't find typical dominican food anywhere close-by. I highly recommend the day trip to Isla Saona. Cab rides will be expensive especially if you use the tour company to take you around.

Nice place We can’t see the ocean from the house (70meter) The place is very clean The beach is very beautiful All the best

Hana's place is really nice. It's a behind a couple of barriers in what seems like an apartment compound but the apartment itself was clean and very nicely decorated. There is a private section of the beach that you have access to and some good restaurants around. Getting a taxi is a bit harder, I asked the host to go to the bus station and they organized a giant van even though I was just one person and it was obviously significantly more expensive than it should be. I am sure there is a local taxi service that you could call that would be cheaper but since I don't speak spanish I just went with it. They also charge for the electricity at the end, which is fine but since I didn't have the exact change I had to overpay. Apart from that the stay was mostly pleasant.

This is a fabulous place to vacation! It is right on the beach, and walking distance to all amenities. Fortunately, there are only about 20 units at Florisel, making it a quiet and quaint place to stay. We had a great experience!
