Santo Domingo City Tour Program
Transportation
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus and take you to a central meeting point, where the excursion officially begins. Enjoy Dominican views along the way.
Los Tres Ojos Cave
Visit Los Tres Ojos (The Three Eyes) — a beautiful natural park with three crystal-clear caves and striking rock formations. One cave was even featured in Jurassic Park. Before continuing the tour, you’ll have time to explore, use the restroom, or grab a drink at the cafeteria.
Colonial City
On the way to the Colonial Zone, enjoy a panoramic view of the Columbus Lighthouse. Then take a guided walk through the historic Colonial City, including visits to the First Cathedral of the Americas and the National Pantheon. You’ll spend around 3 hours exploring on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Lunch & Gift Shop
The tour also includes a buffet lunch — a great opportunity to relax and recharge before continuing your day. You’ll also have some free time to browse the Gift Shop, where you can pick up local souvenirs and mementos of your visit.

- Duration – 10 hours (depending on traffic)
- What to bring: sunglasses, sun protection cream, photo camera, comfortable shoes, for women: headdress and clothing that covers arms and knees to visit the First Cathedral of America, extra money for shopping, good mood.

Pick-up and drop-off is included in the price for most hotels and residences in Bavaro-Punta Cana area. Additional charge may be applied for pick-ups from Uvero Alto, Cap Cana, Miches, Veron, Bayahibe and La Romana. PLEASE NOTE that we first pick you up from your hotel and take you to a common meeting point, from where you will depart for the excursion.

The information we knew about the Dominican capital was really useful and interesting. The bus picked us up about 8 a.m. The guide was telling many interesting facts about the country, Columbus, his difficult life, about Spanish colonialists, traditions, pirates… It was very interesting to listen to it. The road is a little bit long, but it was worth the trip.

If you want to get acquainted with this country, it is worth visiting the capital of the Dominican Republic - the city of Santo Domingo. During our vacation in the Dominican Republic, among all the excursions we chose a trip Los Haitises national park and the excursion to Santo Domingo. The road to Santo Domingo is a bit exhausting, but it's a good opportunity to travel to the medieval times, the era when the island was discovered… The city of Santo Domingo is situated on the coast of the Caribbean Sea. Historical houses, paved streets, all kinds of shops with souvenirs, the cathedral of Santo Domingo and many other things. And above all, we learned many interesting historical facts about this awesome country. I gave 4 stars because of the heat outside.
