C101 Florisel – Stone throw from the Beach

This was a great vacation destination. The Apartmentos Florisel is a property with several (five I think) rental apartment buildings, two and three stories. The property is beach front property with one apartment actually beach front, and the others within yards of the beach. The property is gated, has private parking, and is well maintained (the grounds and the apartments). The staff members are attentive, responsive to needs, and friendly. Be forewarned that none of the on-site staff speak English so if you don’t speak Spanish, bring your translator app. (A special hint here. There are a number of local guys that walk the beach out front to entice tourists to shop in their little shops. They are annoying at times but here is the good news. Most are multiligual. So in a pinch, you can ask one of them to come with you to translate at the apartment if it’s really necessary.) The Airbnb contact, Hanane, was terrific. She smoothed out the typical rough spots of a foreign vacation. She arranged transportation from the airport, let us know what the cost would be, provided information regarding where to get pesos, and arranged for an English speaking local to translate for us upon our arrival to get us situated for the stay. The Bavaro beach is great (locally pronounced “baba-roe” with a Spanish r). The sand is cream colored and is the texture of a mix of powdered and granulated sugar. The beach provides miles, literally, of walking or jogging space. Most of the properties along this beach are large high-end resorts that provide their guests with many recreational activities, and many of these, such as Scuba, sailboat, kayak, and paddleboard rental are available (for a price) to anyone walking the beach. And the weather was fantastic, 85 by day, 73 by night. The apartments are exactly as pictured and as represented on the Airbnb website. They are not luxurious but they are clean, comfortable, and have all the necessities. They are located about 1/3 mile (about a 10 minute walk) from a local shopping area. The shopping area has three small grocery stores where you can buy nearly all of your daily supplies. The shopping area also has a great French bakery, a cell phone store where you can buy local minutes for your cell phone, a commission free currency exchange shop and a couple of small restaurants. There are also a couple of fruit stands and several bars. By the way, this shopping area is called Plaza El Dorado. There is larger shopping plaza (Plaza San Juan), more like a US mall, with many stores and a larger grocery store, a few miles away for buying things you can’t find locally. This was a truly enjoyable vacation destination for us. Hanane and her husband stopped by on our last day to introduce themselves and to assure that we’d had an enjoyable stay. Wir haben zehn Tage in der Wohnung verbracht - und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage insgesamt ist sehr gepflegt, die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung, wir fanden sie praktisch, auch das Schlafzimmer großzügig, mehr als ausreichende Abstellmöglichkeiten. Die Küche mit allem, mit mehr als wir bräuchten, da wir hier auch nicht gekocht haben. Sehr gut auch, der große Trinkwasserspender. Neben unserer Terrasse haben wir gerne die Dachterrasse genutzt. Alles sehr sauber, das den ganzen Tag über anwesende Personal hilfsbereit, Hanane reagierte innerhalb von Minuten auf Anfragen. Man ist praktisch sofort am Strand, mit eigenen Bereich für die Anlage, nebenan eine Beachbar. Hier war allerdings über Silvester, Neujahr, das folgende Wochenende einiges los und vor allem die Techno-Klänge nicht zu überhören. In unmittelbarer Nähe Angebote für alles, was man am und auf dem Wasser so machen kann. Sehr angenehm, mehrere Supermärkte, eine Bäckerei und eine Reihe von Restaurants, aber auch Auto-, Moped- und Fahrradvermietung zu Fuß zu erreichen. Nicht zuletzt zu erwähnen, das ziemlich schnelle Internet.

Great place by a beautiful beach and a awesome bar. The host helped tremendously . Easy access with Bavaria express as well

Staying here was everything we expected and more! 30 second walk to the beach. Stores and fresh fruit stands within walking distance as well. It was our intention to save as much money on this vacation. We only accomplished this by booking with airbnb. The apartment has everything so you can cook your own food (appliances, fridge, stove etc.) and even do some laundry! Yanely and the rest of the onsite staff were very sweet and helpfull. I'm already convincing my parents to make a trip next year! Thank you Hanane and the Florisel team for a great stay!

Great spot in Corales

This location was better than expected! Such a thrill to not have to deal with the hustle and bustle of a resort. It was such a pleasure to have an apt that was home away from home. Clean, centrally located and exactly as the description. I would highly recommend this location. The staff and Hanane were fantastic. We were supposed to check in at 3 but was allow to check in much earlier and check out at noon and we checked out at 3:30pm. We enjoyed Punta Cana to the very last minute. I will be back with family and friends.

Loved this condo/apartment and proximity to the beach, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, bars. Everything was just as described. Hanane quickly responded to all requests/questions and staff was excellent as well; very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

I had a great stay at Florisel last week! The apartment was clean, included everything I needed, and was within a few steps of the most beautiful beach! Perfect location right next to Soles Chill Out Bar as well! Hanane and the Florisel team were always available to me and were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning to one of their properties again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Thank you Hanane and Yanely for your hospitality and professionalism. If you want an all inclusive resort style place...this is not for you. If you would like low-key, safe, and tranquility this is your place. The property is steps from the beach and you have all the amenities you could possibility need. This property also has a palapa right on the beach for guests which is a great asset. Thank you Hanane, Yanely, and Bernardo! :)
