No, we cannot say that algae are bad in Punta Cana. As you may know, this is a periodic natural phenomenon, and ocean currents also bring it to the Dominican coast. We have to notice that it is not a big problem for Punta Cana at all, especially if your hotel has a private beach.

Moreover, the amount of seaweed depends on the beach, since some beaches do not have it at all. But if there are algae on the beach, you should not worry.
